Mayor Tanya Milligan
Member for Parliament
Mayor Milligan is dedicated to the wellbeing of the Lockyer Valley region. Her portfolio has included communication, advocacy, and disaster management among others.
Jim McDonald is the member for Lockyer and former Police Officer and Officer in charge for Laidley Police Station. Mr McDonald has witnessed first hand the impact of drugs and alcohol in the region and is an avid supporter of Grace Homestead.
The Albert and Barbara Tucker Foundation exists to continue the interests and generosity of the late Albert and Barbara Tucker. The trust supports creative, environmental, and humanitarian causes, including art galleries and museums; the relief of poverty and the suffering of children; scholarships for disadvantaged young people; the protection of women from abuse, furthering their education and providing support to women in these circumstances; the initiation and support of social change which goes towards increasing the equal treatment and social acceptance of all persons in the community; and protection of the environment.

Volunteer Grants aim to support the efforts of Australia’s volunteers. The grants provide small amounts of money that organisations and community groups can use to help their volunteers. The grants form part of the Government’s work to support the volunteers who help disadvantaged Australian communities and encourage inclusion of vulnerable people in community life.
